On 31.10.14 it was successfully accomplished the educational seminar course with the theme of administration and management of the Open Accommodation Facilities of the asylum seekers. The program constitutes an action of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) and it was jointly organized by the First Reception Service (Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection) and the Managing Authority of European Refugee Fund (Ministry of Labour).

Executives of the Public sector of Greece and Cyprus, as well as Civil Society parties participated to the program.

The Director of F.R.S, Mr. Panagiotis Nikas and the General Welfare Secretary, Ms. Efi Bekou awarded the certificates of attendance to the participants.

The speakers, EASO experts and executives of organizing bodies, Public and International Organizations, present their respective contributions on topics of legal framework, communication policy and multicultural approach.

The training was delivered as an interactive model and it included workshops, case studies, teamwork, and presentation of the participants to the accommodation area.

This is unquestionably an important step that is directed to the formulation of a cohesive administrative culture, to the strengthening of the technical expertise, the diffusion of all relevant information, as well as to the development of the best possible procedures and new applications so as decent accommodation will provided to the Open Accommodation Facilities beneficiaries.

The active participation of the F.R.S. to this action constitutes an indicator of recognizing the complexity that characterizes the administration of the Open Accommodation Facilities and the need of a solid framework for cooperation with the other actors
